Bayview Construction Company started, back in 1985 with residential construction.
Barry Pruitt, co-founder of the initial company, which within a few years became the largest framing company in the Roanoke Valley known as PBC, Pruitt Brothers Contracting. Initial revenues where from being a framing contractor, working for other builders in 1998. However after Barry became the building manager at Bayview Construction in 2005, most of Barry's company became Bayview Construction under the leadership of Developer-Builder-Owner, Tom Lovegrove who was already an established builder in the region who was desiring to do more commercial work. In 2007 Barry Pruitt was promoted to Vice President of Construction Services of Bayview Construction Company.

So as you can see, residential construction is a a large key of our success and continues to be our mainstay in the area. Through this process we have started with clients wanting a quality job, that have established themselves as repeat clients and in several instances friends. This goes back to our motto "The most important home we will ever build...will be YOURS!" at Bayview Construction Company, this motto is not just a slogan that is taken lightly, it is the only approach we take will all clients. We have developed too many friends and repeat clients who count on us to be there when they need us.  Since 1985, we have serviced hundreds of customers.

With the ever changing face of construction, Bayview has increased its emphasis on remodeling. With the recent change in the market and taxes escalated, some people are more comfortable with remodeling then stepping up to a new property. Remodeling an existing home is not always as easy as it appears especially as some TV programs have lead people to believe, but with the right contractor and crew ,it needn’t be a horror show.

We continue to build custom homes, with the past real estate boom the vacant land inventory in our area has become a scarce commodity. However, through our development company, Bayview Holdings, LLC, we may be able to help with that.   Our award winning design concepts, smart house technologies is where our Design-Build capabilities really shine.

Design-build brings together design and construction professionals suited to the client’s unique requirements. This is a throwback to a bygone era of the Master Builder. The project is lead by the project manager, and he establishes a team to work to meet and hopefully exceed the client’s standards and expectations. This way the client has a single point of contact. This allows for smoother changes, and allows for a shorter turn around, There’s better communication between design and construction. In many instances the client will find significant savings during the design phase, and with project delivery time usually shortened, this can also mean additional savings. Even better, it means we have taken another step toward "Building a relationship" with a satisfied client we fill because "The most important home we will ever build...will be YOURS!"
